Oslo Youth Delegates Gathering

       It was nice chance to meet the Rwandese and Nepalese youth delegates again after we finished the Norwegian Red Cross course for the youth delegates 2009 in Haraldshiem in Oslo on last September and went to our districts and start our program in Norway.

Moreover we met our new contact person in the Head Quarter “Lotte Katborg”, who will be the new coordinator for the program instead of “Vibeke Vatne” finished her period in Red Cross.

        The youth delegates’ gathering was held in Oslo from the 9th- to 13th of December 2009 in Haraldshiem. It was for some sessions about human trafficking, IHL and how to conduct trainings. There was another group from Red Cross. We were together during the gathering.

        The 10th of December in each year is a special day in Norway. It’s the day the Nobel Peace Prize is distributed. And that year the winner was the President Obama, who was honoured in Oslo.

We were so lucky to attend such program, which may not repeat again. We had a very nice day together as we had lunch and dinner together with “Lotte”.

Cold day & waiting in historical day. 
        We had an individual meeting with our new contact person in the Head Quarter of the Society in Oslo at the second day there in order to determine the progress of work at our districts.

       As well as we had some sessions about human trafficking, IHL and a presentation about the cultures and traditions of Sudan and our challenges in Norway. Participants followed us eagerly.

       There were some comments and questions about Sudanese traditions. Some of them thought it was new things to know about Sudan. Moreover we knew a lot of new energizers form the participants.
